Contract Summary
Just a few important reminders from your contract! If you're late, we'll just use the time we have left, sessions don't run over. Reschedules are okay with 7+ days’ notice. If it's within 6 days, the retainer is non-refundable. Cooperation is key, especially with little ones. I’ll guide gently, but your help is always appreciated! You've hired me for my artistic style, so I'll select the best images with care and edit them in a consistent style to the rest of my portfolio. Photos are for your personal use only. Feel free to print them and share them online but please tag me, don't put filters or edits on them, and download them instead of screenshotting. I will be using my favorites from the session for my website, portfolio, and social media. If something big happens (illness, emergency, tech failure), we’ll reschedule or I’ll refund you. Everything else is written out in detail in the full agreement, but this is the heart of it!
The Warmest Welcome
I know how tender and unpredictable the newborn season can be, and I want you to know that this space is made for you. Your baby is allowed to be fully themselves here: to cry, to need to feed, to make a mess, to need breaks. None of it is a disruption — it’s all normal and expected.
You’re welcome to nurse or bottle-feed however you’re most comfortable. If you need help with a diaper change, a snack, a drink, or just a moment to regroup, I’m here for that too.
This session is about capturing your love, not perfection.

For your consideration before your session
Tiny Humans
Babies are messy. I have four kids. I've got a bit of baby experience under my belt, not much could phase me at this point. So don't worry about spit up, poop, anything. Blankets and clothes can be washed! I want you to feel at home in my studio. Get comfy, don't be shy, dump out your entire diaper bag if you need to. And ask for help! I'll change a diaper, I'll help with your bottles, I'm here for you and your baby.
Timeline
Newborn sessions are approximately three hours long and we will go at your baby's pace. There's no rush if we need a break for feeding, changing, anything! I strive for a peaceful and stress-free environment, don't panic if baby is fussing for a while or needs to eat again, we have lots of time. Taking pictures is actually pretty quick, the extended session time is for ease and helping baby settle.
What to Prep
Milk for baby (whether that's Mum or a bottle), the usual supplies - diapers, wipes, burp cloth, pacifier, a neutral blankie or swaddle for parent images, and a backup outfit just in case. Snacks and drinks for Mum and Dad, and back up outfits in case of blowouts! Feel free to bring any sentimental items you'd like to include, such as heirloom quilts.
Family Pictures
Don't feel pressured to be posed and still and smiling for the camera. You don't need to know how to pose. I’ll guide you, give you a starting pose or direction, and then let you move naturally within that space. The goal is to capture you and baby being natural and cozy together. Stroke their hair, kiss their cheek. Smile at your partner in awe of this new human you made together. Your family will never be this tiny again, embrace the freshness, embrace each other, be present with your baby.

Your baby will be photographed in a variety of poses in one or two set ups of your chosen color. Below are example photos in our available colors. Take a look and let us know which color you'd like prior to your session. Keep in mind your baby's photos may not be styled exactly the same as the example photos.

The Goal
This session is a chance to slow down and really enjoy each other. Some of the most beautiful moments come from simply being together. The session will be relaxed, fun, and pressure-free. We can keep in simple - walking through a park and exploring, cuddling; or you can turn it into something more personal: a pizza picnic, a card game, a dance party. We can meet at the playground, the beach, the bookstore, your favorite spot. The goal is for you to spend intentional time together and create beautiful memories that showcase your unique story.
