Grace and Stalin’s love story has been written across the country: Winnipeg, Calgary, and Saskatoon.
It has been such a joy to be a part of these chapters through our friendship with Stalin. What started out as Jesse and Stalin being friendly coworkers quickly blossomed into weekly family dinners and our kids affectionately referring to him as Uncle Stalin. We were so thrilled to finally meet this special lady from Winnipeg who had captured the heart of our Stalin. Watching them together, all the moments and conversations leading up to their relationship just made sense, they fit together so well.
Stalin and Grace worked so hard early in their relationship while being long distance. Budgeting for car rentals, airbnb stays, and plenty of fun social outings during their visits. They continued quietly planning for a future to be built together, when all the moving pieces could be settled.
Stalin excitedly shared the ring shopping process with us, and we were treated to a post-proposal facetime call as they shared their joy and preliminary wedding plans and ideas.
They are both so excited to finally arrive at the altar and join their lives together surrounded by their family, friends, and their faith. We’ve loved being part of their story so far and we can’t wait to witness the rest of it.
We’re so grateful that all the logistics of a very chaotic weekend worked out for us to have this session time together. We traveled to Edmonton to photograph a wedding, and Grace and Stalin continued their long distance theme and traveled from Calgary to meet up with us for their engagement photos. They have these beautifully captured memories of a very special time in their lives, preparing for marriage, to treasure as they dive into wedding planning. Romantic photos are always worth the drive.
